Confidentiality
In counseling situations, confidentiality is maintained except:
- 
In cases of suspected abuse or neglect 
- 
If a child poses a danger to self or others 
- 
If a child and/or parent/guardian gives permission to share information 
Confidentiality is of the utmost importance. This means that anything you share with me is kept private. Information that I gather through meetings with students and parents/guardians will be shared only on a "need-to-know" basis. When information needs to be shared, I will assess who needs to know and what information they need to know to best support students and their families
