Second-Step

Second Step is a research-based, violence-prevention curriculum that is designed to increase social skills and reduce violence among young people.  This program teaches the skills needed to get along with others and resist peer pressure.  Specifically, students practice skills for learning, empathy, emotion management, and problem solving. This program is beneficial to all young people because it teaches them the skills needed to be successful in the classroom and throughout their lives.  Second Step is provided to every K-5 classroom in the school district.
